Overview
Your first step towards becoming a qualified pet groomer starts here. Through a collaborative and inquiry-based approach, our instructors seek to impart to you the fundamentals of pet grooming know-how which we believe that all aspiring pet groomers ought to possess in order to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving pet care industry. In our Professional Pet Grooming Course (Class C), you will build a strong foundation in your knowledge about pet care and pet grooming skills across a range of breeds of dogs. You will pick up soft skills including the forging of a strong and trusting relationship with pets and efficient communication skills with customers. Graduates from our Academy will not only be technically proficient in pet grooming, but will also have the necessary soft skills and exposure to hit the ground running when they embark on their careers as pet groomers.
Our Professional Pet Grooming Course (Class C) will prepare you to sit for Class C SKC examination at the end of our course. Your progress in our Professional Pet Grooming Course (Class C) will be closely monitored by our instructors. The course will be delivered in a series of modules to ensure that learning is structured and incremental. It is not compulsory for you to sit for the examination in order to find employment as a pet groomer, though we would certainly encourage you to do so. Sitting for SKC examination is an avenue for you to test yourself and to gain further exposure.
Course Details
Our Professional Pet Grooming Course (Class C) comprises 60 lessons, and could be delivered on a full time or part time basis. This course will be suitable for any learner over the age of 18 and who has a love for animals. No prior grooming experience is required.

- Basic grooming 101, including nail clipping and filing, ear plucking and cleaning, clipping of paw pads and sanitary area, basic clipping

- Dematting and tangles removal; deshedding
- Basic scissoring techniques

- Appreciation of poodle breed profiles and grooming standards
